The Bi-handed Cyton Gamma 1500 includes two arms, each based on the Cyton Gamma 1500. With 14 degrees of freedom in joint motion plus a pair of actuated two-finger grippers, it can lift payloads twice as heavy as the Cyton Gamma 1500.
Bi-handed humanoid manipulators have the property of redundancy and bifurcation which enables placement of multiple hands at a desired position and orientation within its workspace in an unlimited number of ways. Combined with Energid's Actin-SE, the new generation Cyton can perform advanced control optimization techniques by exploiting the property of redundancy and bifurcation.
Mechanical Structure: 14 DOF plus two grippers, with all axes independent. All axes can be controlled simultaneously. Pitching actions have integrated load balancing springs. Key joints have additional planetary ball bearing support.
Actuators: High quality robotic servos with custom gearing and magnetic encoders.
The Cyton Gamma 1500 comes with an SE version of Energid's peerless Actin visualization, reasoning, and control software, allowing the Cyton Gamma 1500 to perform advanced operations by exploiting its many degrees of freedom. With built-in networking software, it can be controlled remotely through a local area network or over the Internet.
