Robots with many degrees of freedom manipulate the world around them while also being stronger, avoiding collisions, and increasing accuracy. More degrees of freedom expand an arm's workspace and make it more powerful, useful, and fail-safe.

Robai offers the Cyton line of robot arms with seven degrees of freedom.  Starting at under $3,000, Cytons are affordable.  And capable.  Cytons combine innovative mechanical designs with breakthrough robot-control software developed by Energid Technologies. The result is easy-to-use robotic systems perfect for light industrial, home, entertainment, and research applications.  We think you will find them irresistible.

Robai's Cyton robot arms have seven axes and are structured like the human arm. Robotics researchers call robots with more than six axes 'kinematically redundant' . The extra degrees of freedom enable fluid motion and the ability to reach around obstacles. Cyton arms come with configurable control software that makes it easy to exploit the extra degrees of freedom by simply specifying the gripper location using any of a number of convenient input devices locally or over the Internet. You can also interface to the Cyton with your own programs.
